This sculpture is located on a temple in
Khajuraho. I can imagine the artist telling the models to act like it were their last day on Earth. But all kidding aside I can't help but think how fortunate we are in this day and age to still have something so taboo and
controversial. It forces us to think and re
evaluate how we view our own sexuality.
Because of temples such as this it has prompted me to do research on the history human sexuality around the world. I raise the question what would be the difference in people's perception between then and now if I were to re enact this scenario? I would like to see people question the labels we place on others just so we can continue to view sexuality in black and white. Oh and throw morality in there too.

This beautiful painting
The Enchantress is by Arthur
Wardle. This was something I always imagined myself to be in.
In fact this would be a small scenario of how Heaven would be like for me.

Here is another sculpture but from
Nad Kalase showing two ladies bathing a woman while the others get to know each other more intimately. I would like to compare this sculpture to a freeze in Pompeii. Don't worry, I'll be posting an example soon enough. Another question I hope to find is how common were these orgies?
Historically it seems India is far more expressive and open in their sexuality than any other country in the world. Others seem to hide it or keep it exclusive. For example if you were to visit Japan you would never get to experience the naughty side of Japanese society unless of coarse you were wealthy beyond belief or you were born there.
Apollo and Daphne by J.W.
Waterhouse-1908. I love this man. What talent. You know the this tale in Greek mythology don't you? Well, read it. Daphne turns into a tree at the end. This artist had the gift of painting an intense moment of a story giving the viewer a taste of that raw emotion.
Unfortunately you'll never get to see the real painting along with most of his other work because it's locked up in some
jerk's vault when it really should be in a
muesum. Sorry, that was a bit uncalled for but nonetheless money is what makes this world go around.
